The Founder and CEO, Carl C. Hughes received an International acclaim and recognition by being Knighted at the Saint Johns Cathedral in New York City on Sunday, November 8, 2009.  This award is bestowed upon distinguished individuals for their individual humanitarian work throughout the world.

 

There were 23 humanitarians who were honored worldwide.  The Knighthood dates back to the year 1018 and has served the needs of people throughout the world for centuries.  Our Whup-A-Bug® Founder was recognized for his efforts to curb Malaria in the Niger Delta of Nigeria by the distribution of his Patented All-Natural Insect Repellent.  In the villages where it was distributed,  it is reported Malaria dropped by over 70%.
